Description
Nice served with a little butter.
Ingredients
2 cups plain flour
1 ½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. bicarb soda
¾ cup sultanas
1 egg
¾ cup buttermilk
Method
Step 1
Mix the dry ingredients with sultanas.
Step 2
Mix egg with buttermilk.
Step 3
Pour buttermilk/egg mix into dry ingredients.
Step 4
Mix till it all comes together.
Step 5
Tip onto floured board. Knead gently but not too much.
Step 6
Place in a greased tin.
Step 7
Bake for about 40 min.
