This earth and rockfill
dam is at the top of the Shoalhaven Scheme built in the 1970's to transfer water from the
Shoalhaven River into
Sydney's
water supply. Releases can be made into the Wollondilly R to flow into
Warragamba Res. or via the Glenquarry Cut to flow into Nepean Res.
