Eastern Summit Camp - QLD

Eastern Summit camping area is located on the eastern section of the Bartle Frere trail and is a 7km walk from Josephine Falls carpark. It is located approximately a 1 hr walk from the summit of Bartle Frere from the eastern approach. All Bartle Frere trail camping areas are walk in only.Camping permits are required for camping in Wooroonooran National Park and along the Bartle Frere trail and fees apply. There are 4 designated camping areas along the Bartle Frere trail. There is no camping available outside of the 4 designated camping areas. The Bartle Frere trail camping areas each have a maximum of 8 people per night per camping area with a maximum group size of 4 people. See camping for more information.
