Dixons Kingdom - TAS

Set amongst a spectacular grove of small pencil pines, Dixons Kingdom camping area provides an outlook to Solomon’s Throne and Jaffa Vale. Located 300 metres southwest of Dixons Kingdom historical hut, the campsite has the capacity to accommodate 16 double person tents on raised platforms. Camping in and around Dixons Kingdom historical hut and under the mature pencil pine forest is not permitted. The hut is only to be used in emergency situations.Toilets: Dixons Kingdom has a double pedestal full capture toilet. Please do not deposit rubbish in the toilet and carry out any sanitary pads, tampons, and condoms. ?Water: Adjacent to the toilet are 2 x 1000 litre water tanks with taps. This water is untreated and may be unavailable at times due to environmental conditions (eg. dry periods, frozen water pipes). If the tanks are empty, water can be sourced from flowing creeks close to Dixons Kingdom campsite. Water should not be taken from the nearby tarn as accessing can cause damage to sensitive alpine vegetation. All water should be treated before drinking. Please do not wash dishes in or near waterways. This will be your second night’s campgrounds.
