A meteorite? They have pock marks on their surface. Obviously chosen as different by those who placed the trim on top.

Could be a fossil on top of the
limestone ? No idea where it is.

Mark I don't believe it is Karst
limestone but may be corrected later. Certainly no Karst
limestone in this area.

John C16 as they are indeed Cambrian Pancakes. The close up
rock shows the impregnated crustaceans & behind on the escarpment the pancake formations.

The white stuff is calcium carbonate or calcite. The formation is a calcite flow.

Could be salt leeching out of the surrounding area.
But in the
Little Sandy Desert we encountered a seam of white ochre that looked like that but different topography and surrounding
rock.

Correct, Dunc. Ditched there by the bloke who tried to get a refund on the 800 rolls he bought at the start of the Covid thing, and the Supermarket refused to give him a refund.
